InfiniCloud Introduces New Authentication Platform

InfiniCloud has developed a proprietary authentication platform that operates entirely on infrastructure within Japan and will gradually expand its integration with enterprise, AI, and other services.

InfiniCloud Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "InfiniCloud") has developed and launched a proprietary login and authentication platform that operates entirely on infrastructure within Japan. This platform serves as a centralized authentication infrastructure connecting InfiniCloud's various services. As the first step, it will be integrated with our cloud storage service, InfiniCLOUD, on July 7, 2026.

Background and Features of the New Authentication Platform

The new authentication platform is designed to operate entirely on infrastructure located within Japan. It will be progressively integrated with various InfiniCloud services, including our enterprise cloud services, AI-related services, and other future offerings.

By providing a centralized authentication platform, customers will be able to access multiple services using a single account, delivering a more convenient and seamless user experience.

Because the platform operates entirely on domestic infrastructure, it also provides a stable authentication environment that is less affected by overseas service disruptions or changes in the international environment.

Main Changes to InfiniCLOUD

Login ID Changed to Email Address

The login credential used to sign in to InfiniCLOUD will change from the InfiniCLOUD User ID to the registered email address.

Two-Factor Authentication Enabled by Default

InfiniCloud has updated its login authentication system to make two-factor authentication (2FA) standard for all accounts.

With traditional password-only authentication, accounts could be vulnerable if a password was compromised. By adding a second verification step, 2FA helps prevent unauthorized access and account takeover even if a password is leaked.

When signing in, users will verify their identity using either a verification code sent to the registered email address or a supported authenticator application.

Users can choose from the following authentication methods:

  • Email Verification: Authenticate using a verification code sent to the registered email address.
  • Authenticator App: Authenticate using a smartphone app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

Future Plans

Following the launch of this authentication platform, InfiniCloud will progressively expand its integration wth its enterprise cloud services, AI-related services, and other future offerings.

By building on a stable authentication platform operated entirely on infrastructure within Japan, InfiniCloud aims to provide customers with a secure and reliable environment for accessing its services without relying on major overseas cloud providers.
